We would like to inform you about the importance of regular software updates on your self-hosted Canvas LMS server. Open source Canvas LMS software is updated frequently by a development team. New features, bug fixes & security fixes are released every month.

Monthly Canvas LMS updates are completed smoothly in most cases. In turn updates performed by “jumping” over several releases often cause issues.
